Biography
Carey Rebecca Brown grew up just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While she LOVED playing sports, Carey always felt the strong pull of the arts. When the time came to make a decision about college Ms. Brown did not think twice about choosing theatre as her major. After graduating Cum Laude with a BFA from The Hartt School, Carey moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to perform on Broadway, off-Broadway, at some of the country's most prestigious regional theatres, and in a number of workshops, readings, and cabarets. Carey was honored in The Wall Street Journal’s "Best of 2006" edition for her work as Maria in Portland Center Stages’ “West Side Story”.
