Biography
Christine Corpuz isn't your average "I've wanted to be an actor all my life," kind of actor. Actually, she fell into it by accident. After a meeting with her college academic advisor who informed her that she was missing a "Fine Arts" requirement in order to graduate early, Christine settled for one of the only classes still open for enrollment: Intro. to Acting... and the rest is history. Born and raised in Southern California, and the middle-child of two Filipino immigrant parents, Christine never saw acting as a career. Although her vibrant family supported performing arts through singing, acting, and dancing, Christine was still discouraged from never seeing anyone on TV or onstage, that looked like her. Yet after the bug bit her hard during the end of her sophomore year in college, she became determined to change that outlook of Asian-American actors onstage and onscreen, and fully pursue a career in Acting. To hone her newfound passion, Christine attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Acting program where she received her MFA. Since graduating, she has performed in Off-Broadway in New York, and has recently returned to the LA area where she continues acting on the west coast. Christine Corpuz is now your, "I want to be an actor for the rest of my life," kind of actor. And the rest of what she does, is completely on purpose.
