Biography
Gillian is completing her third year as an Ovation voter. She has been a professional actress for over 20 years on both east and west coasts. Recent World Premieres include “Heavier Than” and “The Good Book of Pedantry & Wonder” at The Theatre at Boston Court and Tom Jacobson’s “Making Paradise – The West Hollywood Musical” with Cornerstone Theater Company. Favorite roles include legendary actress Laura Keene in “Our Leading Lady” at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Kitty Warren in “Mrs. Warren’s Profession” for the Production Company, (LA Weekly Lead Actress nomination), Vanessa Bell in “Eternal Equinox” at the Grove Theater Center, Grace in Nicky Silver’s “Pterodactyls” for Athena Theatre, Julia in “The Fourth Wall” for Ensemble Theatre in Santa Barbara, Lady Lillian in “Love Loves a Pornographer” for Circle X (5 LA Drama Critics nominations), “Homebody/Kabul” at the Mark Taper Forum, “My Boy Jack” at ICT, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” for Nevada Shakespeare, “Blithe Spirit” and “Present Laughter” at the Palm Canyon Theatre, “Under Milkwood”, “Romeo & Juliet” and Mrs. Mister in the operetta “The Cradle Will Rock” at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum. East coast credits include Arena Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre (Michael Kahn), Ford’s Theatre, Washington Stage Guild and three summer seasons with the Wayside Theatre.
