Biography
Israel Cortez is an Equity Member Candidate, a singer/actor/dancer/musician/producer who has spent 19 years building a musical foundation from Opera to Rock and Roll. He also plays trombone, piano and recently picked up the guitar. Israel grew up in the small town of Porterville (CA) and currently resides in Orange County. His all-time goal is to perform on Broadway and to produce a self-titled album. He's been seen in shows such as Jerry Springer the Opera, Funny Girl, The Who's Tommy, Jekyll and Hyde, The King and I, Claptrapp or the Sound of Musicals...etc. Israel has also discovered a new creative outlet that lets him display his talents via world wide web. He loves to make people laugh, which is clearly illustrated in many of his videos. Israel has gone on to create his own multimedia production company called "Izzy McGizzy Wildin' Out Productions" where he is the Executive Producer, Director, Editor and Cast. He has produced an interesting range of videos that showcase his acting, dancing and singing abilities. He's working on getting more publicity and success with his talents and videos in order to meet his dreams and goals.
