Description:
LA’s longest running solo show continues its run at The Fanatic Salon in Culver City. For those who feel one laundry load away from a nervous breakdown, writer/actress/mom Amy Simon is the perfect tour guide to the shock, chaos and hilarity of modern-day mothering. Simon’s stage is filled with the accoutrements of motherhood - from noisy toys to the cupcakes she bakes on stage and serves warm to the audience. Her sleep-deprived, multi-tasking, nurture-shocked mommy navigates the joys and perils of parenting. She takes on everything from amber alerts and mothers’ roles around the world to cracked nipples and PMS (Perfect Mother Syndrome), adding for good measure a survey of television moms from Donna Reed to Felicity Huffman’s Desperate Housewife, to Sharon Osbourne.
Motherhood Unplugged is, a mom written and performed story and music salon with local and celebrity moms who write – about motherhood. Real moms performing real stories interspersed with mom music
