Description:
During the course of his 2004 election night party, passionate young Democrat, Jake Klein, discovers that his long time crush, Ruby, has voted for Bush. Jake must maintain a lie and keep his liberal lips shut... if he still wants to plant them on the girl of his dreams. Asses and Elephants is an intelligent coming of age story that humorously interweaves politics with a poignant account of young people finding themselves after college. Information on how to register to vote or other ways to "Rock the Vote" will be provided at the conclusion of every show. All play attendees will also receive an invitation to a real life election night party on November 4th. (Free food and beer provided by Angel City Brewing Company.)
