Biography
Sadie Alexandru is a native New Yorker born on the upper east side of Manhattan but did most of her growing up and schooling across the river. Yes, she obligingly responds to the tender term "Jersey girl." In 2011 Sadie can be seen in a guest starring role on the new hit HBO/Cinemax show "Femme Fatales" opposite Casper Van Dien. She can also be seen as a lead role as Firoozeh in the epic, "Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage," alongside Lorna River & Patrick Stewart and in a starring role in the upcoming indie feature, "Act Naturally." Other movie credits include the action blockbuster, "Gamer," starring Gerard Butler & Michael C. Hall. Television credits include a recurring guest star on“As the World Turns” Sadie is best known for the original “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” commercial shot by Oscar nominated DP, Emmanuel Lubezki. This catchy and recognizable Vegas spot launched an ongoing campaign and won number 1 on Adweek's "Spots to Watch" list. She has also been seen in 24 national commercialsincluding ads for Comcast, Jared Jewelers, Swiffer, Coors, Wendy's, Merck, Turbo Tax, Staples, 1-800-Flowers, Milky Way, Hasbro and Bud Light (feat. Carlos Mencia) Sadie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Rutgers University. She also studied at the London Academy of Theater under Patron Dame Judy Dench and at the William Esper Studio in New York City. The catalyst for her relocation to LA was a flight to Los Angeles courtesy of Jersey Films (Danny DeVito) & Fox Network to screen test for a series regular role on a pilot called "The American Embassy." Sadie took up permanent residency in Los Angeles, CA in January of 2006; she continues to work Ronni Lynn Hart at Powerline Management and the commercial department at Abrams Artists Agency. Sadie is currently in development for a sketch comedy web series entitled "Mudda Sucka" and most recently starred in the critically acclaimed "Love Sucks" at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood, CA
