Biography
Sal Cecere is a native New Yorker living in Los Angeles after being directly chosen by Robert De Niro to be the "Twenty Minute Man" in Analyze That (2002). The scene opposite De Niro was also featured in the theatrical trailer for the film. Sal has a strong education and theatre background and, following graduate school at NYU, spent two years developing standards based new media curriculum with a team of teachers at Taft High School in the Bronx while also performing with Shakespeare in the Parking Lot on NY's Lower East Side. He has a BA from Cortland State in Theatre and was fortunate to study at Circle in the Square at 50th and Broadway. Sal's exploratory trip west became his new life after an unexpected windfall on The Hollywood Squares. He has worked at regional theatres in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Iowa, mined a handful of film and TV credits, and has enjoyed producing and directing a group of singers called New World Cabaret since 2008. Sal is thrilled to be staking a real claim in LA theatre at the Lyric with Lust N’Rust: The Trailer Park Musical.
