Biography
Stephen Gifford (Scenic Design) Stephen’s work has been seen on both coasts, from New York City where he received his MFA in Scenic Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, to Alaska, where he designed for Juneau’s Civic Light Opera. In Los Angeles, Stephen has a close relationship with West Coast Ensemble, where some of his designs include Assassins, Big, and Anita Bryant Died For Your Sins. Other theatres in LA include The Actor’s Co-op where he recently designed Big River and The Road Theatre Company where he received his first LA Weekly Award for Lady and designed their production of Sidhe. His design for the production of Celadine at the Colony Theatre recently earned him an Ovation Award nomination. Stephen’s work has also seen at California Musical Theatre where he designed the critically lauded Funny Girl and 42nd Street.
