Chronicled through the lens of his own silent films, “Stoneface” recreates some of Buster Keaton's most memorable gags live on stage, capturing the legend of a bygone era and telling the tale of the redemption of one of Hollywood's greatest performers. The world premiere of “Stoneface” stars French Stewart, best known for six seasons on the NBC hit “3rd Rock from the Sun.” The script comes from Stewart’s wife, Vanessa Claire Stewart, who starred in and penned the multiple award-winning “Louis and Keely Live at the Sahara,” which had a record-breaking run at the Geffen Playhouse in 2009 after originating at Sacred Fools. French most recently appeared at Sacred Fools in the award-winning production of “Watson” and Justin Tanner’s “Voice Lessons.” In 2011, he received three Ovation Award nominations for his work in both plays. “Stoneface” will also reunite French with his “Watson” director, Jaime Robledo, who won an L.A. Weekly Award & was nominated for an Ovation Award for his directing.
