Biography
As a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, Tim has been fortunate enough to work on stage and on screen with Steven Soderbergh, John Mahoney, Rip Torn, Stephen Lang, Urinetown's Marc Hollman, and many great artists, and with prominent theaters all over the country, such as the Berkshire Theatre Festival, The Ensemble Studio Theatre, About Face Theatre, and Diversecity Theatre. He's had the honor of playing many of the great Shakespearean roles, such as Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo and Mercutio, as well as appearing in other exciting projects such as Soderbergh's The Girlfriend Experience and the only Quentin Tarantino-authorized stage production of Reservoir Dogs. Like many New York-bred actors, Tim has also appeared on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. He also serves as the associate artistic director and one of the founding members of the CRY HAVOC Company (www.cryhavoccompany.org), which has developed more than seventy new plays and scores of new approaches to existing plays through its active Workshop and Lab programs. In that time, CRY HAVOC has also brought more than 25 of these projects to the New York stage, including its critically acclaimed production of Romeo & Juliet and the world premieres of more than a dozen new plays. Projects developed with CRY HAVOC have also appeared in more than 35 productions at other major Off-Broadway, New York, and regional venues.
CRY HAVOC also was instrumental in the development of Rainbow Rabbit Reliant, Kitt Lavoie’s award-winning short film. The CRY HAVOC artistic community is comprised of more than 150 actors, writers, directors, designers, composers, and production staff. A former NCAA-ranked qualifier from Iowa State University, Tim holds a brown belt in Judo, as well as a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, studying under MMA and BJJ world champion Vitor "Shaolin” Riberio, and the legendary Jon Danaher, coach to dozens of world-class fighters including UFC World Champion Georges St. Pierre.
